London, 27 March 2024. — We are delighted to announce that H.E. MARIANA E. PLAZA, (New) Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina to the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland, attending the International Gala “Education for Sustainability” as a special guest. 

Mariana E. Plaza embarked on her diplomatic career in 2005, bringing with her a wealth of experience from her prior consultancy work in international cooperation. Throughout her tenure, she has held key leadership positions within the Argentine Foreign Service, including as Chief of Cabinet for the Deputy Foreign Secretary, where she played a pivotal role in shaping Argentina’s foreign policy agenda. Mariana’s extensive professional background spans continents, from her early postings in Montevideo and Nairobi to her current role as Deputy Head of Mission in London. Her dedication to fostering bilateral and multilateral relations is evident in her proactive approach to diplomacy, which includes engaging with a diverse array of stakeholders and communities. Beyond her diplomatic duties, Mariana finds fulfillment in travel, cinema, sports, and networking, embodying a holistic approach to international engagement.

The International Gala “Education for Sustainability” will take place at the Caledonian Club on Friday, 5 April 2024, at 19.00.

The funds collected will be used to finance a select number of projects related to education and sustainability in Latin America.
